The youth worker encourages family involvement to support the achievement of goals and to ensure these skills are maintained in all appropriate environments, including the home and wider community.

The Youth Worker assesses the young person to determine his/her goals and then discusses strategies to achieve these. strategies may include referrals to other organizations (eg suitable employment services, counseling services), participation in Cando4kids youth programs, or individual sessions with the Youth Worker.
Where
The Youth Worker meets with young people in their homes, in the community, and where ever necessary to achieve goals (eg at university, potential working environments, at their local community groups etc). Many of the youth programs are based in the city to allow access for young people to travel independently, however at times, sessions are also held at Cando4kids locations, in Hove or Modbury.
