Youth Services

Youth services provide individual support and group programs for children and young people with sensory loss.  Intervention continues the development of communication, social and life skills, independence to maximise learning opportunities and to connect with communities.

Areas of support may include:

  • Auslan Services and/or communication development and support
  • Social skills and community participation
  • Self-advocacy
  • Education for student, carers and professionals around sensory needs
  • Transition programs for stages of education to adult services
  • Public transport
  • Employment skills

How they do it

  • Individual support utilising the expertise of a range of professionals – ages 5 to 24 (foundation to year 12)
  • Youth programs – ages 14 to 18 (years 8/9 to 12)
