About the group

The CHAMPS program (Children with Hearing Impairments Activity and Mentor Peer Support) creates a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment, empowering young people to improve their interactions and their social networks. Exciting and challenging events are chosen to provide opportunities to develop a range of social and life skills including team collaboration and confidence interacting in a group setting. Individual and group goals aim to promote development of self-advocacy skills, knowledge of Audiology & science of hearing, and positive use of hearing technology (Roger WCD, Hearing aids, Cochlear implants, BAHA etc.).
