Cora Barclay Listening and Spoken Language Youth Services

Following on from early intervention AVT, the Cora Barclay Listening and Spoken Language Program continues services for school-age children and their families. Intervention targets the development of understanding and use of their assistive technology (hearing aids, cochlear implants etc), listening skills, verbal language development with an emphasis on vocabulary knowledge, speech and social language skills.

Our services include:

  • Development of an individualised Listening and Spoken Language Program
  • One on one therapy sessions
  • Group therapy options
  • Clinic, home or school-based
  • Remote access optional
  • Ongoing monitoring and assessment
  • Family support
  • Audiological support
  • Access to a multidisciplinary team

12 fun, creative and challenging events are planned throughout the year where students are supported by skilled group facilitators.
