Developmental Educators

Developmental Educators at Can:Do 4Kids have a Bachelor or Masters of Disability and Developmental Education and are all members of Developmental Educators Australia Inc.

Areas of support may include

  • Adjustments to support inclusion in education settings, social and workplace environments
  • Assistance for community participation
  • Advocacy support
  • Transition support at all stages of development
  • Attending specialist appointments with families
  • Referral to other support services if required
  • Coordinate social programs for youth

How they do this:

  • Individual Therapy
  • Small Groups
  • Remote services and telehealth (Skype)
  • Working alongside parents/carers and key people in the child’s life
  • Clinic-based and within community settings including home
  • Education and training to teachers and support staff
